You can get rid of the tangled cords and clutter caused by wired mouse by switching to a Bluetooth mouse.
Bluetooth does have a wider range than standard “wireless” or “cordless” mouse, meaning you can be further away from your computer than you would normally be with the other mice. If you have a HTPC (home-theatre PC) hooked up to your TV, this is a great mouse for you.
