Telus launched Blackberry 9550 (Storm 2) earlier today. The release comes 1 week ahead of the original launch date. It was previously reported the launch date was scheduled for November 24, 2009.
November 24, 2009 appears to be the Blackberry Storm’s launch date for Bell Mobility.

It appears as if there’s currently an issue with Telus WAP service on both CDMA and HSPA networks.
Upon launching the web browser, users will get a “403 forbidden” error message. Some users are also getting “invalid proxy” error messages.

Telus is currently experiencing a network wide Data and SMS outage in Ontario on CDMA and IDEN (Mike) networks.
Most users affected will see lower case 1xev instead of the normal 1XEV.
Telus Blackberry users will not be able to send or receive email, BB Messenger, PIN, Facebook messages.

Many Telus and Bell 3G (Apple iPhone, Blackberry Bold, HTC Hero) users experienced a 4 hour outage in the Greater Toronto Area yesterday.
Service was resumed last night. The cause of is the issue still remains unknown, but Telus says it was caused by a “3rd party vendor”.

Here’s instructions on how to setup e-mail so that you are able to send/receive e-mails using shaw e-mail accounts while on WiFi and/or Telus 3G.
Turn ON and connect to WiFi.
Setup the Videotron e-mail using Videotron ’s outgoing mail server as SMTP (relais.videotron.ca).
