Worked perfectly for me and I am on Rogers. It was useful to remember to turn off SSL and to change the port to 25. Thanks for posting this! Has made my life much simpler!!!

I cannot find a “properties” menu, or any other way to specify to “allow for mobile,” on the Shaw webmail. Where is this setting?

After searching for many many posts and trying them out, this one did the trick.. THANK YOU, etestsam. Thanks for spending your 28 hours with 14 techs. You may have saved many more hours of frustrations… Kudos to you for posting this.

BB and gmail 2-step verification don’t mix well.

I should have clarified in my blog post, demerit points do not affect consumer insurance rates.

Commercial insurance rates will be affected.

Also if you have enough demerit points for a license suspension, it goes without saying, you’re insurance rates will be affected.

They also told me the guide lines the recruiters follow is set or based on meeting their insurance co. criteria.

-Confused-
I’m an AZ commercial licensed driver with 4 demerit points and 4 convictions. I called and spoke to a recruiter at Giant Tiger and also another separate local carrier company, they both told me they evaluate by demerit points and both companies said we cannot hire a driver with more than 3 demerit points. “give us a call when your down to 3 demerit points.” is what they said to me.

HERE IS A FURTHER FIX FOR THOSE WHO ARE GOING TO JUMP UP AND DOWN ON THEIR PHONE!!!!

CHECK YOUR SETTINGS AND REMOVE THE 2-STEP VERIFICATION IN YOUR GMAIL
ACCOUNT SETTINGS (TOP MIDDLE PART OF SETTINGS PAGE). FOR SOME STRANGE REASON IT TURNED ON AND CAUSED HAVOC WITH EVERYTHING BB AND GOOGLE. REALLY SURPRISED THAT THE GENIUSES AT GOOGLE AND BLACKBERRY CANT SEEM TO GET THIS RIGHT. IN ANY CASE, ONCE THIS IS TURNED OFF TAKE THE BATTERY OUT FOR 30 SECONDS, RESTART YOUR PHONE AND GO THROUGH THE EMAIL VERIFICATION PROCESS. IT SHOULD WORK FINE NOW…HIT SYNCHRONIZE AND YOU ARE ALL SET.

SPENT 28 HOURS WITH 14 TECHS BEFORE WE FOUND THIS SOLUTION….GOING TO BED NOW…

There is one step missing. You must log into Shaw Webmail Beta and under properties submit allow for mobile.
