Google has discontinued the sale of their Nexus One phone, well because they’re sold out!

You can only purchase the units officially through KT and Vodacom in South Korea.

Sprint has not announced a release date or the pricing for the phone yet.

Fared Adib, Sprint vice president for product development, in a statement said,

“Nexus One is a powerful device that belongs on a powerful network. This is another step in our continued partnership of innovation with Google”

Earlier this month, there were rumours of Google releasing the NexusOne on Verizon’s network. At this point, it appears as if it’s simply that, a rumour.

Rumours online seem to indicate HTC and Google(GOOG) have started shipping the Nexus One phone, which is due to go on sale at Verizon (VZ) this spring.

Google has said it will sell the phone online for $179 USD with a Verizon contract. Google is currently exclusively selling a T-Mobile version of the Nexus One online.

Canadian CDMA carriers Bell and Telus can release the Google Nexus One north of the border by spring or summer if they wanted to. There’s obviously no news from either Canadian carriers, so it’s just pure speculation. It wouldn’t be a surprise as Telus and Bell’s CDMA network operate on the same technology and frequency as Verizon’s network in the United States.

This service will be upto 1 Gigabit in speed in certain areas.

Here’s a comparison: The average high speed internet connection on Bell is approxmately 5 Mbps and on Rogers 10 Mbps Google’s fibre broadbad service will be offer speeds around 1000 Mbps.

Google’s NexusOne Blog released information about a software update that will be pused to NexusOne devices over the next few days.

Starting today, Nexus One users will begin to receive an over-the-air software update on their phones. This update provides some great new features, and fixes a few problems that some users might have experienced, including:

• Google Goggles: this mobile application will now be available directly on your device by launching it from your All Apps menu. Just use your Nexus One camera to start searching the web
• Google Maps: the Maps application with be updated to a new version, Google Maps 3.4, which will include:
  • Starred items synchronized with maps.google.com – access your favorite places from your phone or computer
  • Search suggestions from your personal maps.google.com history – makes it easy to search for places you’ve searched for before
  • Night mode in Google Maps Navigation – automatically changes your screen at night for easier viewing and driving
• Pinch-to-zoom functionality: devices will now include a new pinch-to-zoom mechanism in the phone’s Browser, Gallery and Maps applications
• 3G connectivity: we will provide a general fix to help improve 3G connectivity on some Nexus One phones

In order to access the update, you will receive a message on your phone’s notification bar. Just download the update, wait for it to install, and you should be all set. This update will be rolled out gradually to phones – and most users might not receive the notification until the end of the week. This isn’t for the tech/computer novices.  If you were to edit or delete an item incorrectly, you can have trouble connecting to the internet altogether.

DNS settings are specified in the TCP/IP Properties window for the selected network connection.

1. Go the Control Panel.
2. Click Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center, then Manage network connections.
3. Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS. For example:
   • To change the settings for an Ethernet connection, right-click Local Area Connection, and click Properties.
   • To change the settings for a wireless connection, right-click Wireless Network Connection, and click Properties.

   If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

4. Select the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.
5. Click Advanced and select the DNS tab. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, write them down for future reference, and remove them from this window.
6. Click OK.
7. Select Use the following DNS server addresses. If there are any IP addresses listed in the Preferred DNS server or Alternate DNS server, write them down for future reference.
8. Replace those addresses with the IP addresses of the Google DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
9. Restart the connection you selected in step 3.
10. Test that your setup is working correctly; see Testing your new settings below.
11. Repeat the procedure for additional network connections you want to change.

Google Streets view was first launched in Canada back in October. It only included some of the major cities such as Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

The addition of these 9 cities bring the grant total of Canadian cities in Google Street View to 20.

3. Once you have unlocked the captcha, retry configuring the e-mail account with your blackberry using the Blackberry Web Client (BIS).

Google Street View allows users to get an actual image of street level locations on a map.

Simply go to Google Maps http://maps.google.com and enter an address in the search box at the top. Once the results appear, drag the icon of the man on the top left hand corner to a location on the map to get a “Street View”of the area.
