In response to Telus’s promotion from a few days ago, the other Big 2 carriers have decided to match the promotion.
Telus offered new clients 6 months of unlimited local calling, free calling on early nights and weekends starting at 6pm (regularly $7/month) and free activation ($35 fee).
That offer is now available at Bell, Fido and Rogers for new clients signing new 3 year contracts.
Officially, this offer is not available for existing clients looking to renew their contracts.

Telus is offering new clients two great incentives for their business.
New activations to Telus will receive 6 months of unlimited local calling and their $35 activation fee waived. The 6 months of unlimited local calling promotion hasn’t appear among the big 3 carriers in almost 3-4 years. In the early to mid 2000s, the 3-6 months of unlimited local calling promotion was quite common among Bell, Telus and Rogers.
The promotion is likely in response to the new wireless entrants, Wind Mobile and Public Mobile offering unlimited calling and texting as a regular plan to their clients.
