Telus is suing Rogers Wireless over claims of false advertising.
Rogers Wireless, since 2007 has been claiming they have the “fastest and most reliable” wireless network in Canada. According the law suit filed on Nov 12 in BC courts, Telus is claiming Rogers does not offer a faster or a more reliable service than Telus Mobility.
On November 5, 2009 Telus launched its new HSPA+ network that promises speeds of upto 21 Mbps. This is the same technology Rogers has been touting as the “fastest” in Canada for 2 years. Now that Telus is using the identical network technology, Rogers no longer any speed advantage they’ve been marketing so heavily.
Stay tuned!
