TTC launches Trip Planner
TTC launced the beta version of their online trip planner earlier today.
Easy to use and accessible, the TTC Trip Planner helps you plan your trips throughout Toronto using any mode of TTC transit. It can even suggest walking trips for shorter distances.
The Trip Planner uses TTC schedule information to suggest the quickest transit route to wherever you want to go. It also calculates the length of time your trip will take on transit.

TTC ensures every last drop of your blood is taken!
The TTC suspended the sales of tokens and introduce a “Temporary adult ticket” to ensure commutters do not stock up on tokens in preparation for the price hike in 2010.
Ensuring they get every last dime from us, they made it impossible for you to buy tokens at the $2.25 rate which are useable come the new year. Instead, they’re wasting thousands of dollars printing “Temporary Tickets” for the next 7 weeks. These tickets will likely not be useable or you will have to add a quarter (to make up for the difference) when you want to use it in the new year.

Get your TTC tokens ASAP!
The TTC has restricted the number of tokens you can purchase at any one given time to only 5. http://www3.ttc.ca/News/2009/November/0911_tokens_five.jsp
They want to curb the sales of tokens at the $2.25 rate in preparation of their impending rate increase in 2010 to $2.50 for a token.
Save yourself $125/year
Everytime you are near a TTC booth, you should buy 5 tokens. If you are a regular TTC commuter who uses tokens, you should try to buy as many tokens as you can (as you already know you will be using TTC tokens next year).
You can save yourself $2.50/weekly and $125/yearly by stocking up on TTC tokens before the new year.

Price of Taking the Bus and Subway in Toronto is going up!
If you’re a subway or bus rider in Toronto, your commuting costs are going up!
The TTC announced today it will be raising prices, again!
The adult single ride fare rises from $2.75 to $3.00.
The adult monthly Metropass price will go up by $17, from $109 to $126/month.
It might be cheaper to drive than take public transit in Toronto for many commuters.
