Telus iPhone in Saskatchewan!
Telus and Sasktel announced they have reached a “tower sharing” agreement for the new “3G” HSPA network in the province of Saskatchewan.
What does this mean?
Pre-Agreement
Before this tower sharing agreement was announced, any Telus subscriber travelling through Saskatchewan with a HSPA device, would lose complete service on their handset while in the province of Saskatchewan.
Post-Agreement
Once the network has been fully deployed in Saskatchewan, this agreement allows Telus users travelling through Saskatchewan to maintain connectivity on their HSPA devices.
Now Saskatchewan residents can now jump on the new 3G HSPA Network network and get an iPhone, HTC Hero or Blackberry Bold 9700 like the rest of Canada when the new network rolls out next year.
The launch date of the HSPA network build-out in Saskatchewan has been scheduled for Mid-2010 and set to be completed by 2011.

What is the time frame on this as of this date. Are we getting any closer. I was not properl advised when I bought my iphone that it was useless in Saskatchewan. Had I know I would not have bought nor tied myself into a 3 year uselss contract as I spend half my time in Sask. Not a happy customer right now. and seemingly telus could care less.
I thank god am leaving Sask very soon. I had to come here for 6 months. I Phone was useless. Telus sent me a phone that works in this back water. Home is Edmonton. Now I can start using my I Phone real soon.
